Thinking profoundly about Organisational Development

Organisations are facing multiple and highly complex challenges now and moving forward. Traditional change management, systems improvement, product/service development and capability building models are not as successful as they could be. This is because most organisations only focus on systems and processes using traditional methods rather than approaching them in a more holistic approach.

Organisations are facing multiple and highly complex challenges now and moving forward. Traditional change management, systems improvement, product/service development and capability building models are not as successful as they could be. This is because most organisations do not focus on a more holistic and balanced approach to organisational development.

This free course is designed to introduce an organisational development framework based on four key and distinguishable but interrelated areas:

– Systems,

– Systems Performance,

Capability Building, and

Transformational Leadership.

Learners will be introduced to the Strategic Context in which organisations are in today and the organisational responses required. Learners will receive a basic introduction to the organisational development framework.

The course then deep dives into each of the four elements – introducing each one, before advising on key questions .

Organisations can ask these questions to gauge how successful they are at the particular element, before detailing action steps to be taken to help embed the framework element into their organisation.

 This is an introductory course.

The Novice’s Guide to Mastering Processes

Organisations are facing multiple and highly complex challenges now and moving forward. Traditional change management, systems improvement, product/service development and capability building models are not as successful as they could be. This is because most organisations only focus on systems and processes using traditional methods rather than approaching them in a more holistic approach.

Because processes are everywhere within an organisation, and they underpin all work activity. Therefore, the ability to master your organisational processes with a holistic approach will be a powerful skillset to have in your professional toolkit

With this course, learn a more holistic approach on how to:

1. Correctly identify the structure and hierarchy of any process, not just the operational ones.

2. Become aware of the various decisions you need to make about organisational processes to ensure they operate optimally.

3. Conduct effective observation activities which will give you telling insights, whilst being aware of process bias.

4. Create awesome process maps which will actually work for your organisation and what it needs to know.

5. Avoid the common mistakes and misconceptions people make and have about processes.

This course starts with how to define what a process is and how to look at them within a 3D perspective. It then dives into how to correctly observe any process, before moving onto how to map a process. You will learn how to effective map any process with only four basic symbols to get you started

It will introduce you to some more advanced process mapping techniques. It covers how to make decisions about and analyse a process before concluding with some Top five Do’s and Top Five Don’ts tips

If you would like a slightly non traditional view on how to approach your organisational processes, then this is the course for you

This course is set at a Novice Level – it is assumed you will already have some knowledge about processes and what they are
